Wayne & Patty Payne
ASA was born out of a personal connection with the families devastated by Hurricane Helene, as Wayne grew up in the mountains of North Carolina.
What started as a simple ask for donations on Facebook from friends and family, quickly grew into a nationwide outpouring.
The Payne's decided to establish ASA as a non-profit, and began partnering with other organizations to send everything from generators, to sleeping bags, to tents to those suffering from disaster.
